Reese Lee

Reese Lee is a Maui Community College graduate in the Administration of Justice program. Lee completed his degree while working full-time as an adult corrections officer. He is praised for his dedication to self-improvement through education, hard work and community service.
Lee serves as a role model for his fellow students. He was instrumental in exposing the world of corrections to his classmates by organizing and leading them on tours of Maui Community Correctional Center. In addition, he works closely with the administration of justice faculty to improve the curriculum by giving feedback and advice.
As a martial arts instructor, Lee teaches children on Maui to value hard work and self-discipline.
"Reese is a positive, can-do person who enjoys serving others," noted Chancellor Clyde Sakamoto.
The Masaki and Momoe Kunimoto Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions to Vocational Education rewards outstanding achievement and significant contribution to vocational and technical education by a community college faculty member or student.
The award was established by family members to honor the namesakes’ role in development of the food industry in Hawai‘i.
