Jesse Heise is a student in the 51²è¹Ý Maui College’s administration of justice department.

Heise has demonstrated a strong willingness to help others, a trait well respected by his peers. He puts the needs of others first and remains a positive role model in his community.

He is a full-time student with a 3.62 GPA, interns with his campus’ security and is currently applying to be a cadet with the Maui Police department.

Heise’s leadership and selflessness make him an excellent recipient for this award and an inspiration for fellow classmates.

The Masaki and Momoe Kunimoto Memorial Award for Outstanding Contributions to Vocational Education rewards outstanding achievement and significant contribution to vocational and technical education by a community college faculty member or student.

The award was established by family members to honor the namesakes’ role in development of the food industry in Hawai‘i.
