Anne Chung

Anne Chung is an assistant professor of business technology at Hawaii Community College.
She began her teaching career as a high school teacher and worked for the Department of Education for 16 years. She has been with Hawaii CC since 2009 and is a Generation VII Wo Learning Champion and a Generation VIII Community Colleges Leadership Champion.
Chung aims to challenge and inspire students to achieve their objectives by celebrating their successes while encouraging them to improve. Her teaching style encourages application of course content to real-world contexts to make the business technology program relevant and attractive to students and valuable to employers.
As a lifelong Big Island resident, she enjoys eating, traveling and spending time with her family.
The Frances Davis Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Teaching recognizes dedication and demonstrated excellence as teachers of undergraduate students. It was established as a memorial to the late Frances Davis, who taught mathematics at Leeward Community College and 51²è¹Ý Manoa for 19 years.
