“How Much Does a Human Life Costâ€
October 25, 5:00pm - 6:00pmMānoa Campus, Online
“How Much Does a Human Life Cost†with Mboko Lopiki, Didier Mukendi, Luanna Peterson, and moderated by José Barzola -------------- Learn about how art can serve as a powerful tool for activism. For over 30 years, the ongoing genocide in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo, fueled by global greed for valuable minerals and natural resources, has been largely overlooked by the global community. Our speakers will explore the connection between this crisis and the art they create, highlighting how their work raises awareness and calls for action against this tragic violence and exploitation. -------------- Friday, October 25 from 5 pm to 6 pm Hawai’i time -------------- Via zoom.
