Harrison University Professor and Chair of Modern Culture and Media, Brown University, will present "Unweathering the Colonial Anthropocene." Macarena Gómez-Barris focuses on decolonial environmental humanities, extractivism, queer Latinx epistemes, media environments, racial ecologies, cultural theory and artistic practice. She is author of The Extractive Zone: Social and Decolonial Perspectives (Duke UP, 2017).
