Equity through āIntentionalā Course Design

Universal Design for Learning is a framework created to eliminate inequity barriers. How can we be strategic in our online course design to leverage UDL principles and create meaningful, flexible learning for all students? Using the Equity by Design book (and book club guide), we will be highlighting key points from chapters 5ā6 and discussing ways to apply them to our online teaching, learning, and support. Donāt worry if you donāt have time to read the book, there will be something for everyone! Letās collectively brainstorm ways that we can be āintentionalā in designing for online students.
This event is organized by the 51²č¹Ż Online Innovation Center (51²č¹ŻOIC) and co-sponsored by the 51²č¹ŻM OFDAS Center for Teaching Excellence.
