Matryoshka Painting with Russian@51イ雹ン

March 13, 3:30pm - 5:00pm
Mānoa Campus, 252 Moore Hall

The concept of nested wooden dolls may have originated from China, where some have been found going as far back as 1000 AD. The traditional shape and figure of the Matryoshka doll symbolizes fertility and the act of having dolls stacked within each other represented the act of childbirth and lineage; it also points to the resourcefulness of Russian women. Picking up from last week, come to Russian Club this Wednesday to paint and complete the Matryoshka you designed the week before! For those who couldnテ「竄ャ邃「t join us last time, we have some smaller nesting dolls so that everyone can leave their mark on The Russian Club Matryoshka. Take the edge off of classes and do some painting as we listen to folk Russian music and enjoy tea (テ鯛。
