Al Harrington: Reflections on Genealogy, Acting, and a Polynesian Revue

April 5, 12:00pm - 1:15pm
Mānoa Campus, Kuykendall 409A

Join us for a conversation with beloved educator, actor, and entertainer Al Harrington, as he reflects on identity, representing identity, and ancestry research through his own life experiences--as a drama student and all-star athlete (the first high school All-American football player from Hawai'i) at Punahou and Stanford in the 1950s; as TV star Detective Ben Kokua of the original Hawai'i Five-O; as "The South Pacific Man," a famous Polynesian dancer and entertainer in Waikīkī; and on his genealogy and sealing work with the Church of Latter Day Saints.
