Momoro Ono, piano

Dr. Momoro Ono has taught in the music department at Creighton University since 2008. He teaches applied & class piano as well as Music Appreciation. Dr. Ono holds the Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the Juilliard School, where he studied with Adele Marcus as a recipient of the William Petschek Piano Scholarship. During this time, he won 1st Prize at the Gina Bachauer Memorial Competition in New York as well as the Silver Medal at the Three Rivers International Piano Competition. At the Peabody Conservatory, Dr. Ono received the Artist Diploma and Doctorate as a full scholarship student of Leon Fleisher. He has appeared with the Baltimore and Pittsburgh Symphony orchestras and gave a solo recital at the Kennedy Center. Dr. Ono has also performed chamber music in Scotland and Japan. Recent performances include solo recitals in Anchorage, Seoul, and Cincinnati as well as at Creighton University.
