Streambed Clearing
To help ensure a clean and steady flow of water to the ocean, clearing Waimea Valley’s streambeds is critical, yet strenuous work. Keeping the Valley’s three streams – Kamananui, ElehÄhÄ, and Kaiwikoele – clear of debris and invasive growth prevents flooding and ensure the year-round health of Waimea’s native ecosystems. Duties may include pulling invasive plants and/or cleaning up trash and storm debris.
