Tips & Guidelines for Preparing Conference Posters

WHAT: Tech Thursdays is a beginner's series of five-50 minute clinics covering a variety of technology related tools for the classroom and other professional uses.

A workshop designed to assist faculty in preparing a conference poster or display. Among the subjects to be discussed:

  • Physical poster parameters
  • Composing and editing content
  • Typography, including Hawaiian typography
  • Use of color
  • Photographs and illustrations, including charts and graphs
  • 51²è¹Ý/51²è¹ÝM logos and trademarks

The workshop will also include:

  • A review of various computer software for preparing conference posters
  • Helpful hints on how to layout conference poster
  • Considerations for the porduction of the final product
  • Sample conference posters
  • Question and answer session
