The 51 Russian Studies committee is hosting a three day workshop on campus. The first part of the workshop will be presentations on “Russia’s Asian Connections.†On the second panel, Professor Alison Smith (University of Toronto) will be presenting “Social Mobility in Eighteenth-Century Siberia†and Professor Yulia Uryadova (Longwood University†will be presenting “Fergana as Crossroads of Social and Political Anxiety.â€
