The State I Am In (2000) - dir. Christian Petzold, 106 mins.
This film tells the story of two Germans who, as a result of unnamed previous actions, are on the run, with their teen-aged daughter. (It is intimated that they were terrorists.) A modern day version of Sidney Lumet's Running on Empty (1988), this film tells of the impact of the 1970s on the next generation.
