Students will be placed in one of six different levels in their core Japanese program, depending on previous study and the results of a placement examination given during the orientation period.
Besides the language courses, students may also take content courses in English in the following areas: Japanese Culture, Politics, Economics, Education & Society, Management, History, Literature, Art, and Intercultural Communication. Both Japanese and foreign students enroll in the content courses.
Special courses offered in Spring 2016 only:
ITE 360: Introduction to Multicultural Education
ITE 399: A View from Abroad: Experiential LEarning & Inquiry
Courses taken in Machida will appear on 51²è¹ÝM transcripts as 51²è¹ÝM credits.
Financial aid is available for eligible students.
