\par }{Chat is a live tool, meaning everyone 
involved in the chat must be logged into the chat area at the same time in order to participate. There are a total of 6 rooms in the chat area. Typically your instructor will indicate which chat room and at what time the chat will take place.

\par }{\b Accessing a Chat Room :
\par }{Log into your WebCT course and go to WebCT Chat (usually it is located in the course section for Communication tools)

\par Click on Chat to enter.

\par By default the top 4 chat rooms are named "Room "1 through "Room 4", but some instructors will alter the room title as you see in the following image for the chat room called "Junk".

\par To enter a room, click on the room title.

\par All students currently logged into the chat room will appear in the area on the right (Users Logged On). Chat messages will show in the large box on the right (Output Interaction Box). Message text you type will go into the small textbox on the bottom (En
ter your message below).
