Join us for a special presentation on the art of mele/waiata composition, haku kole, and the use of imagery in poetry composition by Dr. Timoti Karetu, Kumu Hula Keali‘i Reichel, and Kumu Hula Keawe Lopes.

E naue mai. This event is free and open to students, faculty, and staff of the University of Hawai‘i system campuses and the greater community of Hawai‘i. Everyone is welcome.

This series of workshops and lecturers has been made possible in part through Special Funding from the Hawai‘i State Legislature. Ka Unulau o Halāli‘i series coincides with the inaugural offering of Theatre 478: Hula Ki‘i: Hawaiian Puppetry and Image Dances in the Department of Theatre and Dance, University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
