Learn More About ScholarSpace
April 16, 1:30pm - 3:00pmMānoa Campus, Hamilton Library 306
The 51²è¹ÝM Library invites you to a presentation on SCHOLARSPACE
51²è¹ÝM’s Institutional Repository.
Many of you are familiar with ScholarSpace – the 51²è¹ÝM Institutional Repository – and have used it for research or in your teaching or have created collections for special projects for your department. Others of you may not be aware that 51²è¹ÝM has an institutional repository or may have only a vague notion of its existence.
Now is a chance to come and learn all about ScholarSpace and how it might serve you in your teaching and learning activities. It will also be a good time to come with ideas about how you might develop a collection in ScholarSpace and to chat with the repository manager and staff. And if you are a long-time user of ScholarSpace, please consider coming and sharing your experience in the use and development of collections in the repository. This presentation will be followed later in the year by an in depth, hands on workshop covering collection creation and adding and editing items in ScholarSpace.
This will be the first in a series of presentations focused on various digital assets that the 51²è¹ÝM Library collects and manages. It is sponsored by the 51²è¹ÝM Library, and presented by the 51²è¹ÝM Digital Library Program Task Force.
Background: In the spring of 2014, a Digital Library Program (DLP) Task Force was formed at the 51²è¹ÝM Library. The main goal of the Task Force is to build upon prior work in developing an organizational structure for a digital assets management strategy for the Library. One specific charge of the Task Force is to engage in outreach about the 51²è¹ÝM digital assets to the Library’s constituencies, especially as it applies to teaching and learning.
