Microsoft Office helps you complete common business tasks, including word processing, email, presentations, data management and analysis, and more.

Minimum System Requirements for Windows

  • A PC running Windows 10 or later.
  • A 1GHz or faster processor.
  • 2 GB of RAM.
  • 3 GB of free hard disk space. 
  • 1024 x 768 or higher resolution monitor.
  • Graphics hardware acceleration requires a DirectX 10 graphics card.

Minimum System Requirements for MacOS

  • A Mac computer with an Intel processor.
  • 4 GB of RAM
  • 6 GB of free hard disk space in HFS+ hard disk format. (also known as Mac OS Extended or HFS Plus)
  • 1280 x 800 or higher resolution monitor.
  • OSX 10.10 or later.

Service Patches/Updates

Microsoft Office updates are available through the Windows Update procedure.

In Windows 10, press Windows key + Q key to get the search menu.  Type windows update in the search box.  Click Windows Update settings.

For MacOS, Microsoft Office updates are available through the Help context menu when in a current Office 2016 Standard application. 

  1. On the top menu, go to Help > Check for Updates.
  2. Under "How would you like updates to be installed?", select Automatically Download and Install.
  3. Click Check for Updates.
