Katie Landgraf
West Oahu
Katie Landgraf is an assistant professor of accounting at the University of Hawaii–West Oahu.
Landgraf believes in being an active teacher and infuses positive energy into her classroom through interactive activities, videos and real-world examples that keep students engaged and interested.
She serves on numerous campus and community committees and offers workshops that help students and community members gain lifelong job and career skills including resume workshops, and mock interview sessions. She assists prospective students with figuring out how to pay for college through Free Application for Federal Student Aid workshops at 12 local high schools across the state.
A 51²è¹Ý West Oahu faculty member commented, “She is always willing to stop what she is doing and assist anyone who needs help or has questions. She loves what she does and it completely shows in the level of creativity and enthusiasm she brings to her classroom, homework and lessons.”
The Regents’ Medal for Excellence in Teaching is awarded by the as tribute to faculty members who exhibit an extraordinary level of subject mastery and scholarship, teaching effectiveness and creativity and personal values that benefit students.
